This week, Tomo Japanese restaurant opened for business on the corner of Loop and Shortmarket street. The offering consist of authentic Asian dishes, sushi and tapas style dining. You can also expect tempura, teriyaki skewers as well as dumpling and tea tastings in the upstairs Japanese tea garden so there’s something for everyone. To top it all off they are also offering the classic Japanese Robata with options like eel, miso-marinated salmon, Mongolian style lamb and salmon belly.
Tomo is open from midday to 21:30 from Monday to Saturday and since they are in the process of securing their liquor license, guests are welcome to bring their own alcohol in the meanwhile to accompany their tasty menu. This is a great casual dining option if you’re looking for tasty Asian food with decent portions and friendly service in a relaxed setting.
