Best Pool & Beach Club Daycations

​It’s that time of the year again when the Dubai weather sits comfortably at those awesome mid 30 degree temperatures. Perfect for soaking up the just-before-summer sun without melting in the heat. With this in mind here's the low down on the prettiest waterside locations which I've tried, tested and loved from luxury beach clubs, hotel pools and venues with a bit of a party vibe to entertain you while you work on your tan. 

​Drift Beach Club
Drift Beach Club is situated in the majestic One & Only Royal Mirage and is one of the newer beach clubs to open in Dubai. A definite must-do if you have visitors in Dubai as it’s a truly a top class venue from its service to the aesthetics - you will not be disappointed.  All prices include a beach towel, a bottle of water, a cold hand and face towel, aloe vera after sun cream and a delicious fruit platter. They also offer 40 minute SUP HIIT classes for people of all fitness levels taking place on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. 

​Cove Beach
Now I have to admit that I am totally biased towards this venue because my friends and I have basically turned their amazing Cove Beach ladies day Wednesdays into our weekly catch up sessions so we have the best memories here. This beach club has something for everyone whether you want to spend the day people watching, tanning or socialising in a setting that’s not a crazy party but you're still keen for a jam and a few cocktails and shisha with your friends. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the vibe is just so good.

​Nikki Beach Club
If you're in search of that quintessential Dubai luxury beach club experience or just looking for an excuse to slip into your latest designer swimsuit then may I recommend heading down to Nikki Beach on the Pearl Jumeirah? Here you can spend the day relaxing and appreciating the sights while enjoying fresh sushi and fruit platters complimented by top notch bottle service to the backdrop of dancers, live musicians and the hottest DJs. 

​Azure Beach
This is also one of the more recent additions to Dubai's growing list of beach club locations. Azure Beach is situated at the Rixos Premium in JBR. The venue has a novel view which is completed by an instaworthy angle of the Ain Dubai across the beach. It also boasts a decent sized infinity pool and jacuzzi as well as a restaurant and pool lounge area. I have not tried the dining-in option from the restaurant yet but we have tried the pizzas in the sunbed area and these were delicious. The only drawback is if you're planning on hitting a night out on the town immediately after your day session then be advised that there no showers in the change rooms. 

​Anantara
I love the pool at the Anantara resort because the surroundings kind of remind me of being in Bali which is one of my favourite holiday destinations. It's something in the way the lagoon pool wraps around the hotel villas making it feel like an exotic getaway with dazzling sea views. The vibe is great for just a very relaxing chilled out day at the pool. It also comprises a swim up bar for sipping delicious fruity cocktails without leaving the water. 

​Burj Al Arab Terrace Pools
It doesn’t really get more luxurious than lounging poolside at Dubai's only 7-star hotel. The Burj Al Arab Terrace pools only opened up to the public a few months ago as it was previously only reserved for hotel guests. The Pool Terrace consists of two huge salt water infinity pools in plush surroundings overlooking the ocean and cabanas come with a personal butler service. Cabana’s also include a minibar, sound system, air conditioning and sunbeds.  

​Zero Gravity
If you are looking for the ultimate beach club party venue where everyone is on a mission to go a little wild then Zero Gravity would be it. There are various events taking place throughout the week with the Saturday brunch being the weekly affair that most party people look forward to. Brunch is a guaranteed full house with a mix that can be described as mainly tourists, always a lot of cabin crew and it’s definitely a British expat favourite. The venue is huge with a 39m glass fronted pool, a restaurant, a garden and beach area which also comes with a BBQ option when booking the private cabanas.
