When it comes to the biggest and best of most things, you’ll probably find it in Dubai so it comes as no surprise that the worlds biggest Rolex store should be housed in the biggest shopping centre in the world, Dubai mall. Rolex brand ambassador and one of the best tennis players of all time Roger Federer was on hand at the opening this week with CEO Jean Frederic Dufour. Also in attendance were the guys from Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons - including the gentleman renowned for wearing various exquisite watches - but on both wrists - Mr Abdul Hamied Seddiqi who is Vice Chairman of Seddiqi Holdings. The boutique was made possible by the partnership between Rolex and Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons.  What’s really awesome about this three storey boutique (besides being surrounded by some of the most elegant watches ever made) is that every interior element is based on details related to the design of Rolex. For example the façade resembles the fluted bezel found on the majority of Rolex watches and the centrepiece of the store is a chandelier inspired by “the Cyclops” which is the little bubble shaped element in the magnifying the dial on many Rolex models.  The second floor is accessible by invitation only and showcases the brands gem-set and precious metal Rolexes while the third floor is a space referred to as “The Rolex Experience”. Set up like a plush loungey area, the space is where watch enthusiasts are welcome to explore the history of the Rolex heritage.
